El Coyolar Community, Fall 2017 Water Filter Distribution.

30 kilometers south of Granada, Nicaragua lies 340 dwellings accessed only on foot. These villagers have no electricity, water except from a dug well & water caught from rainfall. When we left the main road the leader said a 5 minute walk. After 20 minutes we broke into a sugar cane field & 1000 ft. ahead was the community scattered along the slope of a hill.

On this distribution we teamed with Asoc Alcane Nicaragua, an outreach organization providing resources to impoverished residents in rural areas of Nicaragua. 141 people in the community now have the access to clean water.

We hope to return in 2018 to provide additional bucket filters to the community & foster our relationship with Asoc Alcane Nicaragua.
